It’s time to boogie down on something new. Following the release of his acclaimed mini album with fellow Hiatus Kaiyote backing vocalist, Jace XL and touring alongside artists like Flying Lotus and Thundercat. He’s back with a brand new project called “Come Fly With Me”, which will be released on his own imprint Nap King Cole Records dropping on the 14h of September.
Silentjay is a Melbourne-based multi-instrumentalist who has a jazz-background flirting with dub and channeling the beatbox culture of the 90s. The first single off his forthcoming beat tape “The Glyde”, is accompanied with a dance video enlisting Nish Mathur. The video is a homage to the 90s dance scene when they only needed the streets, a boombox and dancers to get their groove on.
That’s not all, because Silentjay is also having a launch party for his upcoming project at Howler on Thursday 27th of September to showcase his brand new release, joined by his friends and collaborators. Tickets are on sale now at www.theoperatives.com.au.
